Gabriel Hendifar and Jeremy Anderson compose the dynamic duo dehind the Manhattan based design studio, Apparatus. The foundation of their work uses brass, etched glass, leather and porcelain fashioned into sleek and often deceptively simple light fixtures. Their foray into decorative objects has solidified them as a force in the world of casual luxe. Taper candle holders that stand alone or work in modular configurations, a candle holder/incense burner and a leather tote are offered, but the beautifully lucid Shift tea set is a quite captivating standout. Made of hand thrown porcelain glazed in a five-part process, this tea set perfectly straddles the fence between casual and luxury. The look is clean and the details are opulent. Welcome guests with this presentation or give as an heirloom gift. While the pieces are offered individually, the set includes a teapot, creamer, sugar bowl, and four cups, saucers and spoons.
