When hosting a themed dinner party, it can be easy to be drawn into an obsessive quest for the perfect accouterments, especially with Pinterest and other sites at the tip of your fingers, but sometimes money and time are short. Time to get creative. These miniature oreo books are a cute topping for some book themed mini cheesecakes using using easy to find items. Open the Oreo cookie and with a serrated knife carefully cut each half into squares. Don't get frustrated, you are definitely going to lose a few halves in the process. Reassemble the cookie so it looks like an open book. The cookie is the book cover and the filling the pages. You can then take a toothpick or skewer of some sort to add definition to the pages of your Oreo book. A tasty read for the top of your miniature desserts.
