Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

This weeks task was to create a party for children that was both entertaining and educational. After brainstorming a few educational ideas we settled on a throwback favorite....a party centered around a stylish globetrotting villainess, Carmen Sandiego. We love this idea partially because it conjurs nostalgia and because there are so many fun things that can be done when the world is your inspiration. Back in the 80's we secretly wanted to be a little like Carmen, yeah, she was a thief... but she traveled the world in a fierce outfit AND had an international network of henchmen!!!! The clues to find her can be as complex as you wish, and can incorporate some of the language skills your child is developing. For those of us who are planning the party and don't speak another language, no fear there are several apps for that. Check back daily for a new piece of the party puzzle.
