Carmen loves discovering the world through food, and for those of us who don't travel for a living, food is the perfect way to traverse the globe without hopping on a plane. Kids can be picky eaters, a party is the perfect time to allow them to explore new taste experiences.

Set up colorful stations with finger foods from around the world and briefly describe what they are, or add a fun fact about them. Maybe even sample some of the less common dishes. Then allow them to pick and choose what to eat. If your child has international classmates consider incorporating foods from their home countires. Pictured are Vietnamese spring rolls, Argentinean chicken and spinach empanadas, and homemade Mexican cucumber mango paletas. You could also serve british style fish and chips, pupusas, samosas, sushi... the list goes on for miles. Explore!
